Crazy Psycho

I have titled this post Crazy Psycho because it is about an encounter that I had with a Crazy Psycho last week. The encounter was via phonecall and started early Monday morning, early meaning that she called four times before 8:00. This would usually not be a problem, but Monday was the only day that I got to sleep remotely late so I was a bit perturbed/concerned. Because of my concern, I decided to call this strange number back to see why exactly she needed me at 7:23 in the morning.

"Hello"
"Heeeeey.. I had a few missed calls from this number this morning and was just wondering if you needed anything."
"Well, I had a missed call from you and was calling you back. Is this not Gary?"
"Naw, I'm not Gary. And I don't think that I called you, but if I did I apologize."
"It's okay. Bye."

End of story? No ma'am.

I had to work at the bank on Tuesday, so I was up fairly early. I looked at my phone during lunch and whatdoyaknow.. Crazy Psycho had called back. What in the world could this woman want?!?! I had the mindset to call this crazy woman back and tell her just what I thought of her harassing phone calls.

"Hey! I had a missed call from this number and was just calling back."
"Yeeaaaaaaaaaaah.. I'm just going to tell you what I need. I think that my husband is cheating on me with you."
"Whhhoooooooooa. I'm really sorry about that, ma'am, but I can guarantee you that it's not with me."
"Well, I looked through his phone bill and there were a whole bunch of calls to your number and then I looked in his phone and he had your number listed as Gary. You don't sound like a Gary. Now, he's cheated on me before and I'm not going to let him do it again."
"Ma'am, like I said, I don't know your husband and I'm certainly not sleeping with him. I just really want you to stop calling me."
"Ahhh.. all right then."

Crazy Psycho hasn't called back, but when she does I'll be ready.

I love my Mama!

It is true. Today is Mother's Day and I love my mom. I mean, she did carry me (and Mallory) for 9 months. I don't know about you, but carrying 11.9 pounds worth of baby sure is love. To pay her back for this, Mallory and I decided to cook lunch. Squash. Chicken enchiladas. Mexican rice. Chocolate oatmeal cookies. :)

In other news, Adam and I broke up. He's an idiot and that's all I'm going to say about that at the moment.

Mr. Keith Wiseman preached tonight about going through the storm. I must say that I love when he preaches because it's just like he's telling a story around a kitchen table, you can't help but listen. He's been farming soybeans and chickens for a living for the past 27 years and usually talks about that a lot in his sermons. :) Tonight he told us that there was a summer where in came a huge rain in the late spring right after he'd planted his beans, but didn't rain a drop for the rest of the summer. He prayed and prayed for rain, but it didn't come. He harvested 8 bushels of beans per acre that summer (50 per acre is the norm) but fed his family just fine. The moral of that story is that I don't need to ask God for rain or anything else that I think is necessary in my life. He is all that I need.

Much love,
Megan
