It is true. Today is Mother's Day and I love my mom. I mean, she did carry me (and Mallory) for 9 months. I don't know about you, but carrying 11.9 pounds worth of baby sure is love. To pay her back for this, Mallory and I decided to cook lunch. Squash. Chicken enchiladas. Mexican rice. Chocolate oatmeal cookies. :)
In other news, Adam and I broke up. He's an idiot and that's all I'm going to say about that at the moment.
Mr. Keith Wiseman preached tonight about going through the storm. I must say that I love when he preaches because it's just like he's telling a story around a kitchen table, you can't help but listen. He's been farming soybeans and chickens for a living for the past 27 years and usually talks about that a lot in his sermons. :) Tonight he told us that there was a summer where in came a huge rain in the late spring right after he'd planted his beans, but didn't rain a drop for the rest of the summer. He prayed and prayed for rain, but it didn't come. He harvested 8 bushels of beans per acre that summer (50 per acre is the norm) but fed his family just fine. The moral of that story is that I don't need to ask God for rain or anything else that I think is necessary in my life. He is all that I need.
Much love,
Megan
